The zoo...

We went to the zoo on Saturday to check out the African Savanna exhibit. They have giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and ostrich there for the summer. Very cool!

We also checked out the sharks as they were swimming around.

And of course, we took in the dolphin show. It wouldn't be a trip to the zoo without it!

One of the really cool things we did was to go into the butterfly garden. There were hundreds of butterflies flying around us. They were so pretty and so neat to watch. Why no pictures of these beautiful butterflies you ask? The batteries in my camera were dead. AURGHHH!!!

Aunt Patsy

Jeff's aunt Patsy came to visit us for a few days last week. We all enjoyed her visit, especially the kids since they suckered her into every activity they could think of. They had lots of fun!

Fathers Day

Yesterday we helped Jeff celebrate Fathers Day! The kids were so excited about Daddy having a special day. We made him breakfast and later we took him out for lunch at one his favorite places.
Then we headed to Canterbury Park for the horse races.
The kids were really looking forward to seeing the horses and daddy was looking forward to winning big. At least kids got what they wanted...

Sunday is Family Day at the races so they had pony rides and a petting zoo set up. Aidyn was soooooo excited to ride the ponies.

She did a great job and wanted to go again. So she got to ride a second time. What a lucky little girl!

Nolan enjoyed the petting zoo (from a distance).

But it wasn't from his lack of trying. He had the stroller on 2 wheels once, trying to pull himself in with the goats.

By the time we left, he was definitely ready to get out of the stroller!

At the end of the day the kids needed a good cleaning.

And a bedtime story. And with that, Fathers Day was over. I hope Jeff enjoyed his special day, the kids sure did!

The many faces of Nolan...

"See how cute I am? Don't I look sweet and innocent?"

"But I am full of mischief. You can see it in my eyes!"

(Insert evil laugh...)

Last Friday it was really hot and humid here. So what did the kids decide to do? Play under the sleeping bag. I was sweating just watching them.

My nephew Justin came to visit us for a few days this week. We had lots of fun and kept pretty busy. We went to Underwater World at the Mall of America, went out for Chinese, swimming at Lifetime, we took Bailey to the vet, Justin and I went to see Over the Hedge and he and the kids played and played...

He also vacuumed for me!!!

And we went to Jeff's office and Justin got a tour of the pasta plant floor. He said that was his favorite part! We all had a fun time having him here!

Cute kids...

Grandma Janice and Grandpa Horace came to visit!

Grandma Janice and Grandpa Horace came to visit last weekend. On Friday we all went to the library for the summer reading program kick-off. Aidyn and Nolan got signed up, had free ice cream and Aidyn checked out 9 books! When we got home, the reading began...

The girl loves to read!
On Saturday we did some shopping and on Saturday night, the "big people" went to a Twins game while the kids had a babysitter come over.
Everyone enjoyed the weekend and Aidyn and Nolan enjoyed all the attention from Grandma and Grandpa!

A fun weekend with Grandma & Grandpa!

Grandma Sharon & Grandpa Jerry came to visit us this weekend and we had lots of fun. Jeff and dad went to the horse races on Friday night, they had a good time, but not good luck.
On Saturday morning we went to the Minneapolis Farmers Market and then headed over to Lake Harriet. We rode the trolley at Lake Harriet and then went to the park.

There was swinging to be done...

Dirt to be played with...

Young couples in love...

Water to be pumped...

Brothers to be pushed...

And holes to be investigated.

Here Aidyn is choking Nolan while they play in a box. See, I told you we had lots of fun!

Grandpa & Grandma both got in some good cuddle time with the kids.

It was also Mom's birthday yesterday so we helped her celebrate by going to the park! Happy Birthday Grandma!

After Grandma and Grandpa left this morning, Aidyn & Nolan were once again forced to get their attention from each other. Looks like they'll survive.
