So Sweet
This story was on our local news last night and I cannot watch it without crying. It is just as sweet as it gets.
(OK, I can't get this video embedded, so I am just putting up a link...click on it to see the video...sorry!)

There was just a follow-up on the 5:00 news and this little girl and her dad are going to be on the Today Show Monday morning and possibly on Ellen next week.

Great Grandma
The Big Day
Sunday was Aidyn's actual birthday. It started by her choir singing at church. The services on Sunday were a Scandinavian Music Festival. It was fun to hear all different songs they performed. They also served lefse, krumkake, rosettes and many other Scandinavian treats between services.

After lunch Aidyn got to open a few gifts from Jeff & I. For dinner on Sunday night, Aidyn got to pick where she wanted to eat. She picked Applebees because they sing to you and you get a free dessert. That is right up her alley because she wanted everyone to know it was her birthday. She told every teacher, the pastors at church, the servers at the restaurant, the choir directors and pretty much anyone she came in contact with. She was SO excited to turn 6!!
Family Day
Saturday we spent the day celebrating Aidyn's birthday with family. Great Grandma Lucille, G'ma Sharon & G'pa Jerry, Grandma Janice & Grandpa Horace were all able to join us.
G'ma Sharon made Aidyn a Hello Kitty birthday cake. It was delicious!

Aidyn got lots of nice gifts from everyone. Nolan gave her a necklace and a fancy ponytail holder. She was so pleased her brother remembered to get her something.

The crown she is wearing is one she made for Nolan to wear, but he let her wear it to open gifts. So generous!
