The kids have been busy (so that implies that I have been busy too). But mostly it's been them and I just try and keep up. They have opened a 'store' on the landing of our stairs. I'll keep you posted on this one since there is talk of expanding it outside so our neighbors can buy stuff. Today they mentioned they'd like to open a peanut butter and jelly restaurant next to their store so people driving by can get dinner on their way home too. Anyway, at their store they are selling things they made. Coloring books, fuzzy posters, spotting scopes and dried Play-Doh creations. They are quite the entrepreneurs. Apparently, Aidyn is the store owner and she employees Nolan to help people find what they need. I'm guessing there will more on this one later... Here is Aidyn reading to Nolan. They were having DEAR time (Drop Everything And Read). This is one of my favorite times for 2 reasons...I love it when they read and they are relatively quiet while they are doing it. Win-win!!
This is just a few minutes ago in the backyard. It's almost 90 degrees here today so the pool is the perfect place to be!
Now take a look towards the top of the picture just under the fence. There is a dark circle on the ground. That is where my manly man chopped down a tree. Getting rid of that really opened up more space in our backyard. Now it's my job to get some grass to grow!

What are your store hours? Riley and Sydney are always in the market for some more dried play-doh creations...and their allowance money literally burns a hole in their pocket if they don't spend it fast enough! We'll be right over! Great idea for for the drive by PB&J's!!
When your things start to disappear make sure you check the kids' store before buying a new one to replace it. Just a thought as they might need more things to make their store more profitable.
can't wait to see everyone this weekend!! do they take debit cards? ...because sean and i just got ours! :) yay! haha nah, we will actually bring cash. tell the kids to stock up!
